Accessibility Statement

Every calculator on this site is designed to work with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and other assistive technologies. Specific measures we have taken:

• All form inputs have explicit labels — no placeholder-only labeling.
• Color is never used as the only way to convey information (results use text alongside color indicators).
• All interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard.
• Focus states are visible on all interactive elements.
• Calculator results are output in plain text readable by screen readers, not only as visual charts.
• Images and icons that convey meaning have descriptive alt text.
• Decorative icons use aria-hidden="true" and empty alt attributes.
• Pages are structured with semantic HTML — correct heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and list markup.
• The site works without JavaScript for core content (calculators require JavaScript but content sections do not).
• Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
• Color contrast ratios meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).

Despite our efforts, some limitations currently exist:

• Charts and graphs in financial report views (mortgage amortization, compound interest growth) are visual. We provide the same data in tabular form on the same page so screen reader users have full access to the numbers.
• The PDF export feature may not be fully accessible to all screen readers. The same data is available in the on-page table.
• The range sliders on calculator inputs are operable by keyboard but may have limited announcements in some older screen readers. Direct text input for the same field is always available as an alternative.

We are actively working to resolve these limitations. If a specific barrier prevents you from using a calculator you need, contact us and we will provide the calculation result directly.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on Calculators Cloud, we want to know.

Email support@calculator-s.cloud with the subject line Accessibility and a description of:

• The page or calculator you were using
• The assistive technology you were using (screen reader name and version, if applicable)
• What you were trying to do and what happened

We aim to respond within 5 business days and to resolve accessibility barriers within 30 days of confirmation.

We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. This is a self-assessment. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit. If you find issues our self-assessment missed, please report them using the contact method above.
