Write for Calculators Cloud

We publish practical guides that help people understand the numbers behind real decisions. If that is what you write, we want to hear from you.

Calculators Cloud accepts paid guest posts, paid sponsored posts, and paid backlink placements. All partnerships are paid. The only exception is link exchanges, and those happen at our discretion — not on request.

If you want to contribute content for editorial reasons, the standards below still apply. Content must be original, relevant, and genuinely useful to our audience. We review everything before it goes live.

What we publish

What we publish

Articles on Calculators Cloud sit alongside calculator tools. The content has a specific job: make the number mean something. A mortgage calculator gives you $2,023 per month. A good article tells you what to do with that number, what affects it, and what questions it raises.

Topics we actively want

  • Personal finance guides: How to interpret mortgage amortization, when to overpay a loan, how compound interest works in practice, what a healthy savings rate actually looks like.
  • Business calculation guides: How to set prices using margin targets, what break-even analysis misses, how to read a payroll figure as a business cost rather than just a salary number.
  • Health and fitness calculation explainers: What BMI does and does not measure, how calorie calculators are built and where they fall short, how to use a heart rate zone calculator for actual training.
  • Unit conversion context pieces: Why metric matters in construction, how cooking unit conversions go wrong, where standard and metric measurements create real errors in practice.
  • “How to use” guides: Step-by-step practical guides for using a specific type of calculator for a specific real-world task.

Topics we do not want

  • General finance advice not connected to a calculation or metric
  • Opinion pieces about economic policy or market conditions
  • Product reviews or comparisons of financial tools and apps
  • Anything primarily designed to promote a third-party service
What good looks like

What good content looks like here

The standard is high. Not because we are gatekeeping, but because the site's purpose is to give people reliable information when they are making real decisions. A mortgage is not a casual question. Neither is a profit margin calculation before a pricing meeting.

Good articles on Calculators Cloud:

Start with a real scenario. Not “In this guide we will explore compound interest.” Instead: “A 7% return sounds abstract until you see what it does to $500 a month over 30 years.” Open at the point.

Show the math, then explain it. The formula is not the answer. The formula plus context is the answer. If you are writing about break-even analysis, show the calculation and then explain what happens when fixed costs change.

Are specific, not general.“A good profit margin depends on your industry” is not useful. “Retail typically runs 2–5% net margin. SaaS companies often reach 15–25%. If yours is below your industry average, that is the start of the conversation, not the end of it.” That is useful.

Reference real sources. WHO guidelines for health metrics. Standard accounting conventions for finance. Named equations with their origins. Vague attribution is not acceptable.

Are honest about limitations.Every calculator on this site includes a disclaimer that results are estimates. Articles should carry the same honesty. BMI has limitations. Tax calculators cannot account for every jurisdiction. Good content acknowledges this without undermining the tool's usefulness.

Do not pad. A 600-word article that says one thing clearly is better than a 1,500-word article that says the same thing three times. We do not have minimum word counts. We have minimum quality thresholds.

Guidelines

Submission guidelines

  • Length: 600–1,500 words for most articles. Longer is acceptable if the content justifies it. Shorter is acceptable if you said everything worth saying.
  • Format: Submit as a Google Doc with edit access enabled. Use H2 and H3 headings. No fancy formatting required — clean text is fine.
  • Links: You may include one contextual link to your own site if it is directly relevant to the article. No links to competitor calculator sites. No affiliate links. No links to products or services you are paid to promote.
  • Author bio: 2–3 sentences. Name, relevant credentials or background, one link to your site or professional profile. Keep it factual.
  • Images: Not required. If you include them, they must be original, licensed for commercial use, or explicitly public domain. Label the source.
  • Exclusivity: We publish original content only. Do not submit articles that are published elsewhere or that you intend to publish elsewhere after we run them.
  • AI-assisted writing: Acceptable if the content is factually accurate, clearly written, and your own work in structure and substance. Not acceptable if it is unchecked AI output submitted as-is. We can tell the difference.
Editorial process

What happens after you submit

We review every submission. Response time is typically 5–7 business days. We will tell you one of three things:

Accepted as submitted — we will schedule it and publish with minimal edits (fixing typos, formatting to match site style, verifying any numerical claims).

Accepted with revisions — we liked the piece but need specific changes. We will tell you exactly what. You revise and resubmit.

Declined— we will tell you why if the reason is something other than “not the right fit.” We do not give detailed editorial feedback on every declined submission.

We do not offer payment for editorial contributions. What we offer is a byline, an author bio with a link, and placement on a site with genuine organic traffic driven by useful tools.
Partnership options

Ways to work with us

All paid collaborations on Calculators Cloud fall into three tracks: paid guest posts, paid sponsored posts, and paid backlinks. Link exchanges happen on our terms — not on request. We also accept free editorial contributions, but only when the piece is genuinely a fit for the site.

Editorial guest posts — free contribution

Original, genuinely useful articles on calculation-related topics. No payment changes hands in either direction. You write it because it is worth writing. We publish it because it helps our readers. The contributor gets a byline, an author bio with a link, and placement on a site with real organic traffic. This is what the submission guidelines above describe. Pitch via email using the format below.

To pitch an editorial post, email support@calculator-s.cloud with the subject line: Editorial Pitch — [Article topic]. Include a two-sentence summary, the calculator or metric it relates to, a one-sentence bio, and a link to one writing sample.
